It's not fall yet but it doesn't feel like summer either.

Hello, September and October. The two months that make up the awkward season between summer and fall. I realize fall officially begins September 22 this year, but normally it doesn't feel like it should be fall. This is because it's freezing in the mornings, hot in the afternoon and early evening, then cold again in the night. This time of the year is just super annoying and confusing. Besides the weather, this time of the year is very busy and so much is changing because winter is coming. The Office helps describe what it's like dealing with this time of the year.

Not knowing how to dress for the day.

Do I wear shorts and t-shirt? Do I wear jeans and a sweatshirt? Sandals or boots? Help!

The stuffed up sinuses and the return of allergy season.

I don't know about you but my sinuses are super stuffy right now due to the many changes of temperatures in one day.

Turning the AC on and off in your car constantly.

My car gets too warm without the AC blowing but then it becomes too cold so I have to turn it off. It's a cycle.

Football season!

Yes, football returns during this time but if you're going to the game, good luck finding an outfit that will suit the hot and cold temperatures.

Ice cream stands close

Local ice cream places will close during this time. This possibly makes this the saddest time of the year.

The mountain of homework

School is in full swing by now which means you have the endless mountain of homework and hours of studying ahead of you.

Shopping, shopping, and more shopping.

Seems like all the stores out there have huge sales around this time because everyone wants to wear cute fall outfits.

Feels like midnight at 8:00 p.m.

The days are getting shorter which means it's super dark at 8:00 and I feel like I should be going to bed. It's not even the time change yet. This takes some getting used to.

Everyone is getting sick.

Why is literally everyone some kind of sick during this time?

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
