There are a lot of Greek letters used in engineering, and they all have different meanings in different equations. Ever wonder what they actually represent? Well I'm going to tell you.
1. Sigma
This symbol denotes a summation of terms. It also looks like a "M" that fell over and stayed there, just like I fell over and stayed there
2. Delta
This symbol means a change is occurring, just like I probably need to change majors.
3. Theta
This symbol is usually used in place of an angle. As in the ones I am hardcore working to try and pass these classes.
4. Rho
This symbol is a representation of denseness. Just like my grades are a representation of my own denseness. ρ ρ ρ your boat, gently off a cliff.
5. Mu
When you use this as a prefix, is means "micro". It measures very small quantities, like my chances of graduating.
6. Alpha
You may know this as "top of the class". See also "what I am not".
7. Beta
You may know this as "an unfinished product, Usually with errors". See also "what I am".
8. Eta
This describes the efficiency of a system. It is practically equal to zero in my personal case.
9. Pi
A mathematical number equal to about 3.14. Also, what I binge eat while crying.
10. Omega
The symbol for Ohms, a unit of resistances. High in electrical spirals and also in desire to study.
11. Sigma (lowercase)
The measure of stress on a system. Also a measure of tension. My σ is through the roof.
12. Delta (lowercase)
A partial derivative. Which like everything, I only partially understand.
