Rx Brew had their official grand opening in April, and it is by far my favorite coffee shop. In a small town like Weatherford, you won't see anything else like it. This rustic-themed coffee shop comes with several unique options. They recently have launched their summer-themed drinks, you should definitely try the Mango Mule. It is a wonderful mixture of mango, fresh mint, vanilla, and fresh squeezed lemon.

Rx Brew is located on the corner of College and Broadway; a hop, skip and a jump away from the SWOSU library. It is a great place to go take a study break, to listen to their music and try their new drinks. Rx Brew is equipped with free wifi and a white piano to play music on or to even write the lyrics that are most passionate to you.

The baristas of this marvelous place are sure to brighten your day, and to get you hooked on your new favorite drink.

This coffee shop is not like your typical Starbucks. The owners are originally from Nashville, Tennessee. They came to Weatherford and it is something there aren't quite used to. That is what makes this place so special. They have build this place from scratch. They bought an old house just near campus, and they started working. They knocked down walls, fixed the plumbing, even wired up all of the lights. They had a vision, and turned it into reality.

When you first walk up to the Rx Brew you will see a few rocking chairs and tables sitting on the front porch that will allow you to breathe in the fresh air, while being able to look at the beautiful green SWOSU campus. As you walk in the front door, you will notice the hand-painted stencils on the wall. Slightly to the left there is a chest that holds all of things you would like to add to your coffee. To the left you will see a little room with a red couch and two small tables on each side. When you start walking to the right is where you will see the ordering counter. On the counter there are beautifully handcrafted muffins, and whatever pastries that have made for that day. You will also notice the shiny and eye-catching espresso machine.

Once you walk up to the counter, order whatever you like. Don't be afraid to ask the barista what tastes the best, they'll know just what to get you. (Ask for the London Fog, if you're nervous). As you get your drink, don't be afraid to walk around as see what all Rx Brew has to offer. They even have a hammock in the back if you're up for relaxing. They are currently working on the back gazebo for more outdoor seating.

You can follow Rx Brew on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and even Snapchat for their newest updates: @rxbrew. They even have food trucks from time to time.

Their summer hours are Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.! Come on in and experience the best coffee in town.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
