The Roaring Lions In Our Lives

Sometimes it takes a lion to get our attention.

Have you ever been to a zoo and heard the lion roar during the day? This is about how there is a lion roaring everyday in your heart and on the outside in the world.

Satan prowls around looking for hearts to devour and to destroy by the temptation in which he knows the best of your weaknesses and he tries to use them to get you to follow him. However, on the other side of that there is another lion living in your heart that also roars around and that is the roar of Christ living in your heart and the power of having him in your heart also roars at the worldly lion prowling around, however the lion in your heart is there to help you and to guide you along with to protect you from the earthly lion that is daily prowling around in the outside world. When you see a lion roar they want you to know they are in charge and they use their roar to let others know they are powerful and mighty. I think of Daniel in the Lions den and how God saved him from the Lions and it also shows the roar of Christ living in his heart for he trusted in God to save him.

Daniel 6:27 (TNIV) He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the Lions."

In our hearts we should have Christ living in us so that the roar will be so powerful that the lion prowling around in the world will know that we belong to Christ and knowing that He will try even harder to tempt the people of the world with his roaring waiting to devour somebody and with that we should have a strong relationship and foundation with Christ and let his power roar through our hearts with all his might and say: "I trust in God and his power and he is roaring in my heart and I want him to be the main lion roaring instead of the hungry lion roar of the world that Satan tries and uses often for his prey."

Now picture yourself in the Lions Den do you trust that God will save you from the lions like he did Daniel? If so spend time with the Father and build up that relationship to where his power is roaring so loud that the worldly lion will back away. Listen to the roaring lions at the zoo and take a look at the two lions in your life and let them hear the powerful roar of your heart with Christ in your heart. A-men.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
