For those of us who have an eating disorder, the holidays can be an especially stressful time. Don't worry though - the sting can be lessened just a tinsy bit by downloading the Rise Up app on your phone!

Here are five things that I love about the app:

1. It's free.

For all the beautiful support that this app gives me on a regular basis, I'd more than happily pay for it. But it's at your fingertips free of charge which makes you love it even more!

2. The daily check-in is the validation you never knew you needed.

The daily check-in is the BEST little chart that lists every emotion you could ever have, and then lets you "rate" your intensity of the feels that you've felt that day. You can also record particular habits like "restricted" or "binged", or "expressed gratitude".

3. The meal log.

I've never met a meal log that doesn't make me sad, but I love this meal log. To start your log out with good feels, the app will give you a daily quote. Mine today said: "The more I love, the more that love is returned to me." Then, all you have to do is type in what you ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with snacks in between. You can record what time you ate, if you ate by yourself or with friends, what you ate, and how you felt while you ate. Which is MY favorite part! No calorie counts, no portion sizes, and no judgements.

4. All of your data can be uploaded into a PDF file.

Whether you need to show it to a doctor or a therapist, or if you just want the data for yourself, the PDF file is super easy and can be emailed for anyone that might need to see it.

5. The little extras to make you smile.

Along with just being wonderful, the app comes with "Coping Skills" - a list of suggestions for whatever you need. The list includes: 911 Distress Coping, Body Image Coping, Journal Activities, and Mindfulness Coping.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
