It seems that after 146 years fo entertainment and nostalgia, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is closing down.
The CEO of Feld Entertainment, Kenneth Feld, has announced that the circus will hold its final performances in May. The high operation costs along with the transition of elephants being off the road have led to the closing of the circus.
Animal acts, especially the elephants, have long been a major circus attraction but the Ringling Bros. was caught in a legal case that led to millions of dollars lost. It seems now that along with the closing of the circus, the animals will retire also.
