Everyone who grew up reading the books and watching the movies now get another chance to experience the magic that is Harry Potter. This past weekend J.K. Rowling's new script book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was released. People all over the world have not only been looking forward to the play but have also been looking forward to the book release. You get to relive your childhood and feel the excitement you had when reading about magic. This book is about Harry Potter and his family and what it's like for his son to live a life having "The Boy Who Lived," as his father.

It's been nine years since the last book of the Harry Potter series came out and I think it's about time we have another story. We have always wanted to know what happened and how life is for Harry with a wife and kids. We wonder how his experiences growing up affected his adult life. Other questions we, as fans, have are what is going on with Ron and Hermione now? What happened to Draco Malfoy and what are his children like? What is Hogwarts like? How is life now that there is no more Voldemort? Hopefully, we learn all of that from this eighth story.

This book has been breaking records ever since it was let known that there would be another book. One of the records is it is the most pre-ordered book on Amazon for this year. The book is also the most pre-ordered book since 2007. What book was most pre-ordered in 2007, you ask? It was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Not much of a surprise that the record it broke was for a different Harry Potter book. This book was also the best seller at Barnes & Noble before it was released. How amazing is that?

All of the hype that has been happening since it was let known that there would be an eighth story shows you how much J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter series means to everyone around the world. She has affected us in so many ways. These stories changed our childhood for the better. They let kids go to a world where good triumphs over evil even through hard times. It teaches kids that it is okay to believe in magic. It takes everyone to another world. All of the books that J.K. Rowling wrote are good for a sort of escape to another place when need be.

This past Saturday night there were book release parties at places all over the world. It's great to know that just a book can bring so many people together no matter what is going on in the world. I hope everyone enjoyed the release parties if they went, but if not, just enjoy the book. I have no doubt that this book is going to be just as amazing as the past seven. So grab a nice comfy space on your couch, since you probably won't be moving much when you get this book. And who knows? Maybe if we are lucky this means more Harry Potter books in the future? Keep your fingers crossed. I know I will.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
