Superhero movies have been making a major resurgence back into theaters within the last decade, capturing the hearts of so many millennials. With the "Batman: Dark Knight Trilogy" having come to close a few years ago, retiring Christian Bale is the iconic Bruce Wayne, a new approach to the Batman universe has been taken.

"Batman vs. Superman" gives us a different version of Batman not shown in the Bale movies, although, it can be argued that Ben Affleck's version of the superhero, also known as Batfleck, is simply an older version of Bale's Batman. Heath Ledger's unforgettable performance as the famed Joker in the Bale movies made any actor afraid to approach the role in the new era. However, with the recent release of "Suicide Squad," Jared Leto took on the role, only to leave fans particularly disappointed. However, the primary reason the Joker was even incorporated into the film was because of the main female character present in "Suicide Squad." Joker's significant other, Harley Quinn, made an appearance in the film for the first time since the days of Mia Sara in "Birds of Prey."

Harley Quinn got a major makeover since the early days of the character's screen presence. Super sexy and sultry Aussie actress Margot Robbie rocked the role sporting multi-colored ponytails, smeared makeup, fishnets, and literal underwear as pants. Robbie's rendition of the psychiatrist-turned-psycho was all us fans could have hoped for when we heard of Robbie's involvement in the project. Many fans also argue that Robbie was the best part of "Suicide Squad," adding fuel to the fire of Leto's performance falling short.

However, Robbie has confirmed that "Suicide Squad" is merely the beginning of her journey as Harley Quinn. The actress states that she will be starring and personally producing a Harley Quinn feature film, intended to be followed by a series of films about the other powerful female characters in the world of DC Comics.

Robbie was inspired by Anne Hathaway's performance of Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises," and the level of depth she dove into the character of Harley Quinn while shooting "Suicide Squad." Thus far, Robbie plans to incorporate Barbara Gordon as Bat Girl, Poison Ivy, Lynx, and quite possibly Thalia al Ghul in her string of films.

The Aussie actress seems to have a trail to blaze as she prepares for the next chapter of her career as an iconic character. Now the real questions are, when can we expect this Harley Quinn feature film? Will Leto be the Joker for her story? How much of her backstory will really be incorporated, since we saw a small snippet of it in "Suicide Squad?" It certainly seems that a whole new category of DC films is on the horizon in a ship operated by badass women in leather costumes, with Margot Robbie at the helm.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
