The news stations are reporting non stop on all of the presidential candidates, there are protests in the streets across America, your phone is ringing off the hook for district surveys, and the recent political debates are the talk of all of the social medias.

It is election year.

But before you slander your neighbor about having the wrong political views and detrimentally ruining your friendship, take a step back. We all need to take a step back from the blasting, and appreciate exactly what this country is.

With Memorial Day being just a few days ago and Independence Day being right around the corner, we all need to come together and embrace the feeling that we all share... patriotism.

You know the feeling. It's that happy feeling you get seeing the fireworks explode across the night sky. It is the chills that run through your entire body as you sing the National Anthem in congregation with thousands of people before your cities Major League Baseball game. It's the sense of unity we share, and love for the beautiful colors of red, white, and blue.

Red

Hardiness and valor. Defined by the dictionary as, "the ability to endure difficult conditions," and "great courage in the face of danger." How powerful are these words! Red. To be defined as a country as red is patriotism in itself. Hardiness as our troops defend this beautiful country with their lives, to ensure the safety of all Americans. Valor as we stand tall in our pride, appreciating and embracing our victories, but remembering our loses; not only in terms of battles, but in terms of the fallen men and women who shed their own blood for this country to exist in luxury.

White

Purity and innocence. Defined by the dictionary as, "freedom from anything that debases," and "lack of guile or corruption." We has Americans are pure in are hearts as we radiate innocence. Look at our ancestors before us, and the elders of this age. Fighting together to hold on to the name of America under the light of God. Purity in the duties to enlighten the generations that follow them and innocence in the livelihood and American memories.

Blue

Vigilance, perseverance, and justice.Defined by the dictionary as, "the action of keeping careful watch for danger," the, "steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success," and "the administration of law or equity." There is vigilance in the eyes of us all. We watch our children as they play within the gates of white picket fences in our small town homes. We watch as we embrace our soldiers home from battle in protecting the lives of millions. We watch out for one another, always willing to lift up our American pride.

We persevere threw difficult times without hesitation. The Great Depression for example could not stop the ethic of our American pride as we pushed forward for excellence. And it continues today as we continue to empower our country to be the leading power house of the world.

We show justice in the equality across our nation. Embracing our laws and supporting our armed forces in protection of our children with generations to come. We bring all quarries to an end and lift each other up together despite the back lashes of the ignorant.

I am proud to embrace our colors.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
