The wind blowing through my hair.
The salty sweet air enticing my nose.
I feel strangely at peace here.
I always have ever since I was a child.
Maybe its because of her.
Because of the Ocean.
Her angry sea foam waves greet me with warm hello.
I pick up my pace; my feet are sinking in the warm caramel sands
but I'm almost there.
I drop my things and head toward the sapphire beast.
Behind me are my temporary footprints soon to be washed away by
azure currents.
I love the idea of temporariness; maybe it's because the idea of
permanence
scares me.
I toss that concept to the back of my mind and focus on her.
Saltwater whipping at my face with the strong breeze giving me rosy cheeks.
I'm happy to see you too!
I'm filled with love and warmth as the cold water surrounds my feet.
It's been a while I know...I'm sorry about that.
I step farther into the water.
I feel the crash of waves against my body knocking me off my feet
and I land on my hands and knees.
I already know your angry. I saw the riptide warning... but I wanted to come see you anyway.
I try stepping further into the water but I'm met with serious resistance.
Wave after powerful wave smacking into me, pushing me back further and further.
I'm sorry.
She lightens up enough to hear me out.
I just came to be with you and just talk. More so just listen.
I sit on the wet sand,
my hands get into their usual mudra position,
I close my eyes and
listen.
She tells me of adventures through the powerful winds that tousle my hair.
Her love is told by the sound of her crashing waves.
The tide surrounds me and I can feel her kindness.
Her push and pull synchronize with my heart beat and
we are one.
