It’s a love hate relationship. And after every party, you swear it will be your last. But, you always find yourself back in the same position of throwing a party. You can’t decide whether it’s the best or worst thing in the world. So here’s a list of all the ups and downs of living in a party house:
- Pro – It’s acceptable to be the first one to start drinking. In fact, it’s encouraged.
- Con – You can’t drink too much because you have to be the responsible one.
- Pro – Everyone compliments you on how sick your house is.
- Con – Your landlord probably hates you.
- Con - There’s a good chance that you’ll never get your security deposit back.
- Pro – You get to call "finders, keepers" on all left behind clothing, jewelry, etc.
- Con – You learn that other people are kleptomaniacs.
- Pro – Pledges clean up the mess.
- Con – You clean up the mess if you don’t have pledges.
- Con – People seem to think what’s yours is theirs (food, etc.)
- Pro – You don’t have to worry about getting ready on time considering the party is right downstairs.
- Con – If you aren’t ready on time, everyone sees you in a towel.
- Con – You have to go to the library to study because you won’t get anything done at your house.
- Pro – You feel like a boss considering it's your house and you’re in control.
- Con – If the police show up, you’re the one who has to go out and talk to them.
- Con – You are also the one who has to pay the noise complaint tickets.
- Pro – People remember your name because they’ve been to your house.
- Con – The amount of trash you have to take out on trash day is unreal.
- Pro – You always get to be the DJ.
- Con – If your roommates are having a party, you can’t hear the television while trying to watch "Grey’s Anatomy."
- Pro – If you want to play in the next round of beer pong, you automatically get first dibs.
- Pro – Whenever you’re tired, you pass the hell out in your own bed.
- Pro – You’ll never lose your shoes.
- Con - You’re constantly running out of toilet paper.
- Pro – You can tell people to leave whenever you want.
- Con – Often times, people overstay their welcome.
- Pro – You don’t have to worry about going out to a bar and spending money.
- Con – When you do decide to go out after having a house party, your house is left a wreck.
- Con – Someone ALWAYS forgets to refill the Brita, leaving everyone thirsty and cranky the next morning.
- Con – You never know who you will find sleeping on your couch the next morning.
- Pro – Mornings always call for an interesting breakfast with stories from the night before.
- Pro – You take pride in knowing that your parties are the best.
