Some say college just feels like an extension of high school and others say college is incomparable. Regardless, there are certainly pros and cons to college that every student can agree on and relate to, but there are no words that could accurately weigh these pros and cons the way these GIFs do.

1. A fresh start with new people

2. Freedom

3. You learn to budget

3. You don't have to worry about waking your family when you come home late anymore

4. You learn how to take care of yourself

5. Nobody judges you in college

6. You learn to cook

7. You're never alone because someone else is probably going through the exact same struggle

8. Someone is always down to do whatever you want to do no matter what it is

9. Naps are back

10. You learn more than you thought was possible

1. Debt

2. You might switch your major three times

3. Parking is a nightmare

5. You're an adult, but nobody takes you seriously

7. You learn how to survive in a room the size of a small closet

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of.
