The Process of Liking Someone

Thoughts we all have when we see someone we think we would be into.

The Process of Liking Someone

So you're on your way to class with your best friend Becky, when all of a sudden you spot a really cute guy named Jason, and make excessive eye contact with him! You smile at Jason and he smiles back, and right there you start to think of how you two will start talking, and how dates would be like. Then you think about what your wedding will be like and how your kids will look like!

Whoa girl, slow your role and let's just go through what you are or have encountered while liking Jason.

1. "Becky, look at that guy. He's so cute!" You tell Becky to help you get the details about Jason. Luckily, Becky informs you that she has two classes with Jason and gives you all the details about him. Becky helps you look into all of Jason's social media accounts and gives a clear conclusion that Jason is, in fact, single.

2. "No, Becky like he is REALLY attractive!!" You really don't think Becky understands how much you're fan of Jason already. And now, you've reached the point where you have so many emotions in you that you fangirl with Becky like no one is watching. I could be over-exaggerating, but you get my point.

3. "OMG Becky stop, I called dibs. Keep cool. Keep cool." You realize that you have to act like Jason's present doesn't affect you, in any way shape or form. This is the part where you play hard to get... Even though you still haven't said your salutations to each other to formally know each other on a first name basis.

4. Oh no, oh no, oh no... Jason is walking towards you and Becky. The hottie-with-a-swimmer's-body is approaching you with sexy smile. Your legs start to buckle and you're feeling like you have forgotten how to speak.

5. Okay this is the time to be super cute and flirty, DON'T. MESS. THIS. UP... The best response you can come up with is,"I really like your eyes, and your teeth are very white." Yikes, now Jason is looking at you like he totally regrets walking over to you. Well at least Becky is being a good wing-woman. Let's just sit back and let Becky take the wheel for a bit.

6. Alright, Jason just told a joke. Laugh in a cute way... No! Not like a psychopath! You can't tell if his joke made sense, or if you just didn't hear the whole thing because you were too mesmerized by his cute little dimples. Oh well, all we can do now is laugh and have intelligent responses, and hope we don't say stupid things.

7. So far so good, the conversation has been going well. Things are going so well that you shooed off Becky! You and Jason have found things that you have in common and decide that you two should swap each other's numbers to hangout sometime. And this ladies, is where we usually over analyze Jason's text messages.

8. It's been a few weeks getting to know Jason, and you've realized that he's not all what you thought he would be. He's actually kind of odd to you and he's saying things that he should just keep to himself. Oh no, no, no, Jason... You were a lot cuter when Becky and I admired you from a distance.

9. You cry and whine to Becky saying how he was so perfect from a few feet away, but when he talked it just ruined everything. How do certain girls have boyfriends, and you don't? All you want is someone who will tell you're pretty and buy you food. Is that really too much to ask?!

10. After you're little 10 minute tantrum, you realize you're an independent woman who don't need no man. Why mop around when it's a Saturday night and you're outfit is on point? Make it all worth while and go out! Go out with your girlfriends and find more cuties!

Then the process repeats itself. As they say, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Keep on fishin'! We'll all find our musical love just like Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, someday.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
