The prison system in our country is ridiculous, we have people in prison for non-violent drug offences, we have prisons for profit, and our prison systems have a biased against minorities. We need major changes to our prisons in order to have a more just and equal system.

Right now, we have people in prison for non-violent drug offences, this is absolutely absurd. These are people who need help, instead of treating them like criminals we should be sending them to rehab so they can get actual help. There are people in there doing humungous amounts of time for doing marijuana when it's one of the safest drugs someone can do. The people who should be in jail are the dealers, the people who make a profit off of other peoples problems and exploits them.

Prisons for profit is legal slavery, we make these people work for nothing, and they get very little time off for their offence. This is a way corporation can make a profit without having to pay workers for their labour. This is the reason why minorities are more likely to be convicted of a crime and get more time than others, corporation's know that little groups are the easiest to exploit.

The poor are also more likely to be arrested and given more time than people more fortunate. Poorer people don't have the money to fight back and poorer people are more likely to do drugs than other groups. We need to make the world where the poor don't feel the need to do substances and help provide a more fair and equal world where they have a chance of success, we need a social safety net that won't let people fall too far.

The real criminals in our country are people on wall street who continue to use fraud as a business model and screw over the ordinary person. The real criminals are the people who gamble with our economy and put us in a recession or even worse a global depression. The real criminals are police who beat or kill innocent people and don't go to jail. The real criminals are the politicians who get caught in scandal after scandal, who continue to be corrupt. Maybe if we released the innocent people in prison we would have space for the real criminals.

We need to create and rebuild our schools so that the children are ready to go into the work force so that don't have to commit crimes just to make enough to eat, we need to stop letting corporate exploit and use people as slaves in our prison systems. We need to fix the bias against minorities in our country. We need to make sure every police officer has a body cam to make sure they aren't abusing their power. Once we fix our prison systems, we can have the proper criminals in there and have proper rehabilitation to help our people back into society.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
