The problem with memories is they haunt us when we lose
somebody. Yes haunt. They are the hardest things to forget. They are the reason
why we compare relationships to each other. They are what we hold on to, what
we cling to.
The problem with memories is we can’t re-experience them, no matter how hard we try. We can go back to the same place, with the same person..but never copy what we felt in that very moment.
The problem with memories is they fade. Time diminishes them. Over time we won’t even remember them until some sign we see reminds us of “that one time”.
The problem with memories is we are constantly searching our minds, replaying them over and over again just so we can remember the happiness that moment brought us.
The problem with memories is no matter how hard we try to blame them, hate them, forget them—there’s actually no ‘problem with them at all’.
We have to learn to take responsibility of what we’ve put ourselves through. We have to learn to appreciate them, smile when we remember. Memories are God’s greatest gift. They are a treasure. Be thankful you can remember those precious moments.
