One nation under God.

The Prayers I Pray For My Country
Jesus Freak Mommy

Every night, I say a prayer for my country. Our country is falling apart more and more, day by day. Instead of being a nation together, we are fighting one another. Instead of being united, we are divided. We should be focused on our future president and fighting ISIS; instead, we are making goofy memes and tweets about the election, and we are destroying our own country while ISIS is sitting back letting us do all the work. I pray for my country, and when I pray for my country, I always think about this verse from 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, then I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." God wants to heal us all, but we have to let God take control. I pray for my country, and this is what I pray.

I pray that we will seek God in our time of need. I pray we will allow God to heal us and take over our land. I pray that we will be one nation under God.

I pray for our next president. I pray that he/she will do as God wants and not give in to their selfish ways. I pray that the person who deserves it and will do best for our country will be the winner.

I pray we will stop killing one another. I pray that everyone will realize all lives matter. Everyone matters, and nobody deserves to be shot and killed. I pray that people will realize cops are not bad guys, just like all blacks are not trying to cause a scene. I pray people will realize it's all about how you carry and present yourself to the world.

I pray for law enforcement safety. I pray that the working men and women can have a simple day of work and not worry about leaving their family without a loved one. I pray that the country and rioters will realize the police are just doing their jobs, and they are normal people. Just like you and me.

I pray for peace. I pray that our country can have peace within our nation. I pray that we can come and be united as a whole. I pray our country will get back up on its feet and be that strong nation that it used to be.

I pray for a country that people will not be afraid to raise children in. I pray that our children will grow up knowing the history of our dear nation and will do their best to keep their nation at its best.

I pray that the people of the United States will stop harming one another. ISIS is out there watching us. I pray that our country can open their eyes and realize we are doing exactly what ISIS wants us to. We are doing ISIS's job for them if you really think about it.

I pray that our country will be safe again. I pray that we will feel safe in large crowds. I pray that, one day, large crowds will not bring tragedy and terror. I pray that people will be comfortable in their daily lives.

I pray for the LGBT communities. I pray for their safety and their protection. I pray that they can feel safe in a nation that claims to be a free country. I pray that they feel free in their homeland.

I pray for blacks and, yes, whites. I pray that blacks will be safe and are not accused for the wrongdoing of another black man. I pray that young blacks growing up are not generalized as bad children. I pray for whites, that they are not all rich and judgmental snobs . I pray for the safety and protection of everyone in this country, no matter what race.

I pray that one day, our nation will not see color but love. I pray that one day, our nation will see God and not evil. I pray that one day we will be united, and not divided.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
