As Taylor Swift celebrates a decade’s worth of album releases her influence in the music industry and all over the world is still growing, even without the hype for new music.

When Taylor’s first singles, Tim McGraw and Teardrops on My Guitar, first hit the radio they became instant successes. She was able to write catchy country songs that would eventually change the face of the country music genre. Since then her ability to create memorable, popular hits has been unprecedented. She has had numerous singles, including hits I Knew You Were Trouble and Blank Space, debut in the Billboard Top Ten Chart. She was there when we were in love with wistful ballads like Enchanted and You Are In Love. No matter what we go through, Taylor has gone through it too and her music is there to help us.

The relationship Taylor has with her fans is beautiful. She goes out of her way for them by inviting them into her houses and sending them personalized holiday presents. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
