You go to church on Sunday, you stand up, and one of the first
things they ask you to do is pray. We pray for our sinners, our communities,
our families, and ourselves. But why does it always make us feel so much better
about everything?
We know that if we trust in the Lord, our souls can be healed
and that if we pray, He will answer our prayers in accordance with the
plan He has designated for our life. It’s so important to recognize that no
matter the prayer, religion, or place you are in, your prayer is heard. Whether
you put it on Facebook or whisper it before you fall asleep at night, you have
the assurance that things will work out in your favor.
Prayer gives us power. It can give us power over our thoughts
and anxieties, our daily struggles, and the evils that we face every
day. We pray for those we know need the attention of our Lord,
whether it’s a dear friend
or the person that tries to ruin your day—we could all use one.
Prayer leaves us humble before God and fulfills our needs,
emotionally.
