Money is something that can alter one’s life in just a matter of seconds. One second, you might be the richest person alive, and then in another, you might be living on a tight budget. Money can tear apart families, and even build one. Without money, the entire world would not be living the way it does. We let money tell us what we can afford and can’t.
Money even creates many of the emotions that humans feel. It can create greed, happiness, and many others. Money leaves our world divided into classes and divisions within. It can bring happiness that one can’t describe and sadness which has no words to directly pinpoint the feeling.
But why do we let this paper object control our lives? Money shouldn’t be something that we measure our way of life. Money shouldn’t control how satisfied or happy someone is. You can be the happiest person alive even if you don’t have an abundant amount of money. Life should be about true friendships, family, and happiness; not how much money ones has.
Is someone who has a copious amount of money considered rich and lives a "perfect" life? I think that technically and stereotypically people think it's true. But, I personally think that one can't be "truly rich" unless they're happy.
To see beyond the "Money= Happiness" takes time and is harder to see, living in this world. But, keeping that in mind can change your whole perspective in your actions.
