The Post-Election Playlist Every American Needs Right Now

We Will Get Through This Together

The Post-Election Playlist Every American Needs Right Now

1. "Keep Holding On" Avril Lavigne

After such a divisive election, America cannot give up. We need to cooperate and unite as one. Now is not the time to abandon America. It's our time to stay here and fight for it.

2. "We Are the World" Michael Jackson

We are the people of this world and we can change it. If our divided nation can come together and spread the love, than we can make the world a better place. We can't rely on the President to reduce racism and bigotry, we need to make a stand for ourselves.

3. "Fight Song" Rachael Platten

These empowering and raw lyrics are what society needs to push through the barriers and keep fighting for what we believe in. Women and minorities are not defeated. We must stay encouraged no matter who robs us of our rights.

4. "Beautiful" Christina Aguilera

Trump's win expresses the extent of misogyny that evidently continues across America. Women should never doubt their worth, value, power, or opportunity to pursue their dreams. American's must remember that words cannot break us, rather they help empower us to make a change.

5. "Survivor" Destiny's Child

The next four years will bring forth the most intelligent and fiercest generation of women this world will ever see. Sure, we are shocked. But we are determined. We will make sure our rights are protected and no longer will we be silenced. While supremacists cannot stop us. We will move past this.

6. "Where is the Love?" – Black Eyed Peas

With gun violence, racism, war and poverty ravaging the world today, this song is as relevant as ever before. We need to bind the wounds of division and come together as one united country.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
