Perfection.

What is perfection?

The Merriam Webster dictionary says: “the condition, state, or quality of being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects.”

To some they may never be perfect. Never embody perfection.

Some of us may despise it. Some of us may strive for it. Obsess or under obsess about it.

But at the end of the day we are all perfect. We all embody it.

Perfection isn’t just one definition. Perfection is seven point four billion definitions and counting.

Perfection is a feeling. A moment. A second in time. A task.

Perfection is that feeling of pure happiness hanging out with a friend that you haven’t hung out with in a while.

Perfection is the way my hair curls after I’ve washed it.

Perfection is the moment I pull out my viola, and fall in love with it all over again.

Perfection is that second in the music when everything pauses, and you know there’s a hella beat about to drop.

Perfection is washing the dishes and reflecting on how blessed I am to be alive.

We fear it. We fear perfection because we believe it’s unattainable.

But it’s not, we attain it everyday. We attain it by trying to be the best version of ourselves possible. And yes, sometimes we fail, but there is perfection in trying. Not desperation or thirst. And sometimes we may end up trying more times than we want to. Trying to achieve the perfection that we unconsciously want. It’s why we do anything. To be perceived as a human, a human who is perfect. Perfectly themselves. Because the only perfect you- is you. 7.4 billion perfections walk this earth every day. We are all perfection.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help.
