You are a perfect just the way you are, flaws and all. You are perfectly imperfect.

"Just be yourself. Let people see the real, imperfect, quirky, weird, beautiful, magical person that you are" - Mandy Hale

Ever look at someone and think man they are perfect in every aspect? Chances are they look at someone and think the same thing. The reality is that no one is perfect and what is perfect to one is different to the next. I for one do not know anyone who is perfect, all put together and flawless. I do not think that is a bad thing by any means.

Everyone has flaws, quirks, and things they do not like about themselves. We are weak and flawed, we make mistakes, we are jealous at times, we are anxious, we are judgmental and sometimes closed minded. At the same time, we learn from our mistakes, we are loving and caring, we are calm, we are accepting and we are open to new things. We are all the definition of perfectly imperfect, and I would rather be that than perfect, and all put together.

I used to strive to be the perfect person, or at least look like I was perfect. But it seemed the more I tried the more unhappy I was with myself. I soon realized that I was imperfect and that was okay. I learned to accept my flaws, the things I could not change, and the perfectly imperfect person I was.

Instead of feeling awful every time I made a mistake and feeling like a failure, I learned to take those mistakes and learn from them. Instead of looking in the mirror and picking apart every part of myself I hated, I learned to find the things I liked. When I felt weak and anxious I looked at all the times I had been strong and persevered through some of the hardest times of my life.

So you can choose to look at the imperfect person you are. That's your decision, but once you accept the fact that you are perfectly imperfect you will have a total different look on life and yourself. You will be able to laugh off the small things that do not matter and even learn to laugh at yourself. That's the best thing I have learned through the process... it's okay to laugh at yourself. Next time you look at someone and think how perfect they are, do not forget that no one is perfect. And everyone is dealing with something that may not be visible to the eye. You are a perfect just the way you are, flaws and all. You are perfectly imperfect.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
