The Perfect Day

Where Everything is Good

The Perfect Day

Someone once asked me what my ideal perfect day would be, and I gave them the first answer that popped into my head. The most generic joke answer I could think of, just watch netflix all day. But then I got to thinking. What would my ideal perfect day be? I think a lot of the time people waste their days by just being sedentary, and trust me I am one hundred percent guilty of that, but if I had to think of my perfect day it would be doing something that would make the most of my 24 hours. I would wake up and hang out with the people I really care about, and do things that matter. I would make sure everyone that meant something to me in my life knew how much they meant. I would find a way to make a strangers life a little better, and probably eat the most amazing food I could imagine. I would find someone I could talk to for hours with, and actually take the time to talk to them for hours. I wouldn't be unsure if someone really cared about me, because they would remind me. I would spend the day not being confused or sad, but having a thorough knowledge of what was going on in my life. I think the best day would consist of not overthinking every little detail of your life. I would not get sad about what ifs, or things that happened in the past. The perfect day to me, would just be one where I am sure about everyone in my life, and they are sure about me. It would also probably consist of a field of flowers and like 10,000 puppies if I'm being honest. Life is short and I have realized lately just how precious it is. I wish everyone could think that way, and let it be known that you care about someone because you might not get another chance. I think the perfect day would just be one where you have it all figured out just for the day, where nothing seems to be going wrong, but if something does fixing it comes easily and without any sadness. What I want in my perception of the ideal day is not something extragagent or intense. Its pretty simple yet, it rarely ever happens. Just one where I am consistently happy all the way through, where no one is unkind, or messes with your head. Where people care about how their decisions effect other people. Just a day where everything is truly truly good, and no one is able to ruin it. One where you don't have to be in a state of worry, because you know exactly whats going on. I think one of the hardest parts about life is uncertainty. Without it the world would be so so much easier. A day where the only thing you were uncertain about was what adventure you were going to go on or what food you were going to eat sounds like the perfect day to me.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
