The People's President

What will we do know that Obama is gone?

It’s only a few days before we vote to put someone else in office. We will replace one of the greatest, if not the greatest president, with another not so great president. To say he will be missed is an understatement. Things will be so different. There will probably be no more sports teams to visit the White House. Chance the Rapper will probably vote to stay at home as opposed to traveling to the capital. Things will just be different. The people’s president will be gone.

There will be no more rapping with Lin-Manuel Miranda (another “rapper” that I love”). I won’t get to see his and Michelle’s love on the cover of magazines anymore and wish for a love like theirs one day. Things will just be different, and we need to prepare our minds, bodies and souls for it.

We are about to vote for our new leader for the next four years our lives. We need to make an educated decision based on what we believe in. Just know that your voices should be heard, even if you are not into politics (because I’m not). Your vote still matters, and someone fought for your vote to count. So don’t waste it, vote!

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right?
