For The People Who Love Too Hard

Seeing light at the end of the tunnel isn’t just something that happens before death, it is an everyday occurrence for you.

There is no way to be able to tell if the people you love will ever be worth it. Not knowing if the love is reciprocated is the worst feeling next to knowing the love is actually not reciprocated and loving the person anyway. Naturally seeing the best in people is your worst enemy and your best friend is actually having the right instincts about others. There is nothing wrong with loving people too hard, but sometimes it is hard to see what is right with it.

If you finish any novel without crying, you are lucky. It is as if there is a personal tie with every character when I am reading and when the words cease, my emotions do not. I know I am not alone here because if it is not with a book you feel this, you have felt it from a play, a movie, a concert. Every work of art seems to strike you in all the right places, so much so that it is incredibly hard to let go when it ends. Loving too hard has the common theme of not being able to let go because not everyone or everything is as lucky to have you as they should be.

There is that one song that you will listen to for the rest of eternity because it strikes you with such immense passion; it is the outlet of everything that you feel. For me, this song is “You Have Been Loved” by Sia because it truly captures how one person has given their heart to so many, has had their heart broken by so many and hopes that these same people continue to be loved with the same immensity you gave them despite everything. I truly recommend this song to anyone who loves a little too hard.

When you find that person of your dreams or perhaps they are the first, fifth or seventh person of your dreams, know they are not the last. The person you pour your heart out to may be the same person who destroys you, they may be the person that rebuilds you or they may be both. Part of loving too hard is building up trust because you will never truly know who pulls at your heart strings in the endearing way, It's just something that you do so constantly. There will be people who fear your massive heart and automatically push you away. There will be people who take this heart of yours and try to make it their own. The love you give should never be taken for granted and that person you find should be as genuine as they come.

Seeing light at the end of the tunnel isn’t just something that happens before death, it is an everyday occurrence for you. As a matter of fact, those who love too hard see the light in everything. On the dreariest of days with rain and cold, you are the one people look for to make everything seem full of power and love. You are the sun, the moon and all the stars. People are lucky to have someone with a heart just like yours. To the people who love too hard, you have a gift, a curse and a blessing, so use it wisely.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
