This past Sunday, we all sat on our couches or at a bar or somewhere with a TV and watched the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons play a game of football, perhaps you heard. Just a couple weeks ago I wrote about how it is almost boring to be a fan of the Patriots, that we're spoiled and sort of implying that we maybe needed something incredible, something different, something truly legendary in order to really enjoy this Super Bowl.......
WELL THAT JUST HAPPENED. Partially thanks to my good friend Michael Moody for reading random tweets throughout the second half (hey, superstitions man, you gotta believe in 'em) after we got our only points of the game while he was reading one, the Patriots officially finished the biggest "eff you" season in NFL history. And it culminated in this:
Beautiful. Say what you want about Boston fans, but we genuinely give a (fill in the blank) and we'll never stop.
The implications are obvious: anyone who thinks the Patriots can only win if we're cheating, anyone who thinks Brady isn't the greatest QB of all time, anyone who thinks they're comfortable with any lead at any time against a Brady-Belichick team and anyone who thinks they're better than us is JUST PLAIN WRONG.
