To the One Who Keeps On Fighting

A letter from me to you.

To the One Who Keeps On Fighting
Karolina

To the one who keeps on fighting,

You are strong.

You are brave.

I am proud of you.

I think those are three of the most encouraging things to hear as the illness fight ravages on.

So, if those are the things you need to hear, hear them now, and keep hearing them. Read them over and over again, and know they are true.

I may not know who you are, but I am proud of you.

You're here, and you're still fighting the battles you've been drafted into.

I am so proud of you.

You inspire me.

Maybe you're having a hard week. Maybe it all feels like it'll never end, and you just want to give up. Maybe you feel that way, but even still, you resolve to keep fighting. How courageous you are.

Maybe it's a better week, and you feel a little more hopeful. Hold on to that hope, beautiful child, and never let it go. Hope is our anchor in the light and in the dark, and we have a Hope who will never let us go either. How beautiful that light in your eye looks on you.

And when the light fades a little, and the storm hits a little harder, remember how good it felt to feel anchored and know you're just as anchored now.

No storm can overtake the one who looks to Him.

Maybe you can even walk on the water.

I'm not saying that's an easy feat. Goodness knows, I know it's not.

But it's not impossible.

Faith makes all things possible.

There is always Hope, always Peace, always Light available.

Even if you can't feel it, see it, hear it, or believe it.

It's there. I promise you, my friend. I promise.

Let's do this together. Let's hold on to Him and each other, because loneliness makes every battle harder, and we don't have to be alone.

You are never alone.

Do you hear that? Tell yourself again. You are never, ever alone.

No matter the pain, no matter the storm, no matter how dark and empty the night feels.

There is One whispering His love to you and singing His deliverance over you. You have to listen. You have to still yourself and listen, but it's there.

He is always there.

And I am here too.

Fighting, crying, hoping, praying, clinging, we can do this together.

Love,

Me

P.S. and if you don't know the One I am talking about, the God who loves you so, He is calling. He is waiting for you. He is running toward you in sweet pursuit. Turn to Him, precious one, and know His love. Ask me anything at all about Him. Let me help you connect to Him, because only in Him, can you find true hope, peace, joy, and victory in all these battles you are fighting.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

4343
Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
