You're my author, my maker, my ransom, my savior, my refuge, my hiding place.
You're my helper, my healer, My blessed Redeemer, my answer, my saving grace.
You're my hope in the shadows, my strength in the battle, my anchor for all my days.
There always comes a time in the semester when stress, worry, doubt, and fear become SO powerful and almost unbearable. I find myself in tears when I can't handle what is being thrown at me. Tests, internship applications, essays, and I STILL somehow find my time with God. But how do I do it? Because sometimes, I literally HAVE to. If I don't, I won't be able to make it through and I know that for a fact. Many times we think that God is just watching. Just waiting for us to completely fall out of his path, or run out of tears. But we have been so blessed to have a God who wants to comfort us. He wants to comfort us right away. Unless he is trying to teach us and make us stronger, God wants to protect us as soon as possible.
However, we have to go to him first. And let me tell you, a prayer to God can change your life around quicker and more effectively than ANY person in this world can. There are many times in my life where I had made someone I care about or look up to higher on my priority list than God. And the worst part was that I didn't even realize it! Until I slowed down and took my time to hear what God was saying to me, I had no idea that I was doing this. The good part is that I have realized, because of God, the mistakes I made.
I think the best thing to do if you are currently in this situation, or even if you think you are, to stop and think, who do I run to? During a battle, in a tough place, when you feel sad and upset, in whom do you find comfort? If your primary go-to source for comfort isn't God, he's waiting for you. And he will be overjoyed when you go to seek and find him.
