I cannot believe the time is here, my last day of class at Texas A&M University! With a blink of an eye, everything happened by so fast, the time passed without me even realizing it, and without me knowing, the time has come, it is my time to graduate. When I say this, I'm not trying to say the same cliché everyone says, but I still remember being a freshman, being scared of not knowing anyone, having a plan, but not really having any idea of how to execute it. However, always finding a way to do what makes you happy.
Everyone's time at A&M is different, some stick with what they started, while some change their minds once or twice through their college career, but for every freshman out there, I want you to know something I didn't when I was a freshman, is okay to change your mind, it's okay to want to have adventures and to experience new things. After all, this is your time to figure yourself out. Do not feel like you have to be trapped to the same thing all those years, find what you love to do and not let anyone stop you from following your dreams.
The time has come, and as I'm getting ready for finals, I had to take some time to reflect on my college years. It has been an emotional rollercoaster, but I would have never asked for anything different, and if given the chance to go through it again, I would make the same decisions I made the first time. I know I made some bad choices throughout my years here, but those were the choices that helped me grew up into the person I am today, and there is nothing in the world that would make me change my past.
When I started at A&M, I never thought it was possible for me to love something so much, it was not just the level of education I received or the friends that last a lifetime that I have made, but its the spirit of a school that is there for their people. I know some people that never experience Aggieland make fun of it, but this is a community where everyone matters, where everyone has each other's backs, and a place where no matter how old you are, it would always be here for you.
Know, it's my turn to join the alumni network knowing that there will be always a place for me in the best university ever.
I'm happy to say that when someone asks me "where did you graduate from?" I can proudly respond, "Texas A&M University."
