The One About Fictional Deaths

Death is something no one ever wants to experience. Whether is be a parent, grandparent, friend, or in this case, a fictional character. For me, when I get attached to a book or a movie, I start to feel how the characters feel and when your favorite character dies, it feels like you will never be able to get over it. These are some fictional character deaths that made me cry uncontrollably.

1.) Severus Snape

Throughout the Harry Potter series, Snape is portrayed as a villain. You sort of feel bad for him, but he is linked to Lord Voldemort so no one trusted him, or so we thought. When Snape died, Harry finds out Snape was only trying to protect him, under Dumbledore’s wishes.

2.) Augustus Waters

PLOT TWIST. When Gus died in The Fault in Our Stars, I think my heart was shattered into a million pieces. Throughout the whole book, Hazel was sick with cancer and Gus was a survivor, so when Gus realizes he was the one dying, it was a complete, horrible shock.

3.) Rue

The Hunger Games was filled with death, but the one that hurt the most was Rue. Rue was so similar to Primrose, who also ended up dying. Katniss became so close to Rue and protected her as if she was her sister. Her death was so unexpected and unfair.

4.) Lori Grimes

I just recently binge watched The Walking Dead and there were so many emotional scenes, but when Lori died, it was so emotional. She died giving birth, and the saddest part was her son, Carl, had to shoot her.

5.) J.T.

JT was a character on the popular TV show Degrassi, which was created in Canada. JT walks outside and he ends up getting stabbed him in the back. He was on his was to tell Liberty that he loved her, but he never got the chance.

6.) McDreamy

I was never the biggest Grey’s Anatomy fan, but I think everyone has seen the episode when Derek dies. When he died, he was driving and saw that there was an accident on the road. So McDreamy being the amazing doctor that he is, pulled over to help people. When he stepped out of his car, he was hit by a truck and died. “It’s a beautiful day to save lives.”

7.) Finn Hudson

I remember exactly where I was when Cory Monteith died. I was camping when my sister and I, huge Glee fans at the time, found out Cory overdosed of heroin and alcohol. Naturally, this led to the death of his character, Finn, on Glee. They never gave a reason for Finn’s death on Glee, but it was a very emotional episode.

8.) Tracy Mosby

How I Met Your Mother is one of my favorite shows because of the anticipation you have to meet Ted’s wife. The show is nine long seasons of Ted dating girls and feeling like he will never find his wife. Then you finally do in the last episode of season eight. When Ted finally meets his wife in the last episode of season nine, you feel so relieved, until you find out that she actually died from an illness. TOTALLY NOT FAIR.

9.) Jack Dawson

Jack Dawson from Titanic is probably one of the most popular fictional deaths that made people frustrated. This movie is a rollercoaster of emotions that everyone seems to love. The adventure and love story behind it makes you fall in love with the Titanic, not to mention the on camera chemistry between Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Jack’s death is not fair because he belongs with Rose. Oh and let’s be honest, there was definitely room on that door for both of them.

10.) Marley

Marley and Me may be one of the saddest movies I ever watched, but only until recently. When Marley and Me came to theaters, I went with two of my friends who had dogs, and at the time I did not have a dog. When Marley died, they sobbed uncontrollably, but for some reason I did not. Two years ago I got a dog, and the next day decided it was a good idea to watch this movie. Guess what, it wasn’t. Saying I cried like a baby is an understatement. Saddest.Movie.Ever.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
