Friends. Best. Show. Ever. If you don’t agree, then you obviously haven’t watched it. Not only does it amuse us with constant wit, but it also has the romantic drama (and romantic hope) we all long for. This show mirrors our lives, a bunch of 20-something-year olds who are trying to live life and get by. I’ve binge-watched this show many times... nine to be exact. And its made me realize that they all have some specific, unique characteristics and that I want to be all of the characters…combined. You probably do too!
Rachel
Not only is she courageous and pretty, but her fashion sense is impeccable as well. Although her constant relationship battle with Ross can get annoying, her bounce backs when they’re on “breaks” between their relationship spans are admirable (and so are the guys she brings home). Rachel is tough and girly at the same time – and that makes her interesting.
Ross
A little dramatic and sometimes too serious, but he gives the amount of care and romance you want your relationship to have. He’s also the smartest in the group, being a paleontologist (even though no one really cares about). Ross’ sincerity and intelligence are desirable traits to have.
Joey
How you doin’…am I right? His charismatic way with words can really sweep women off their feet. Clearly it’s not what he says – it’s how he says it; he has a style of rhetoric that’s his own brand. His appetite is also impressive. It’s amazing that he can eat the equivalence of an entire deli and maintain his handsome physique. Jealous!
Phoebe
The sweetest of the group by far, and she’s the free soul we want in all of us. Her quick-witted nature can make us laugh and roll our eyes at the same time. She’s confident in her musical talents (Smelly Cat, anyone?) and loves sharing her “natural gift” with anyone who’ll listen. And we also love her inner ego persona, Regina Phalange. I think it’d just feel good to be like Phoebe.
Chandler
He is the inner child in all of us. He can make a joke out of anything and laughs at the slightest things. We would love to have his ability to use sarcasm without taking it too far. He constantly realizes how scary “adulting” actually is – something that is familiar to everyone our age. Chandler is relatable on every level, and being relatable is a useful quality.
Monica
She’s attractive. She has mad cooking skills. And her impeccable cleanliness is impressive. Well, maybe we don’t have to take it as far as her with cleaning (she’s a bit OCD), but still we all secretly strive to be as domestic as Monica. Oh, and she’s persistent. If she wants something, she goes after it. We’d all be a little better if we had a little bit of Monica in our lives.
