It’s November 1st, which means it’s officially Christmas time! The holiday season seems to get everyone in a great mood and Christmas movies is a huge factor to that. Here is a list of my favorite Christmas movies that I’m sure everyone enjoys as much as I do:
1. "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer"
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer is one of the most classic Christmas cartoons. The movie is about a misfit reindeer and his friends. Rudolph gets picked on because of his extremely bright red nose. Rudolph ends up proving himself when Santa asks him to lead his sleigh and he saves Christmas, which is my favorite part of the movie.
2. "Love Actually"
Love Actually is a romantic comedy that came out in 2003. The movie follows the lives of eight very different couples who are dealing with their love lives during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England.
3. "Home Alone"
Home Alone has been a Christmas classic for many years. Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister is accidently left behind when his family rushes off on a Christmas vacation. Kevin starts to decorate the house for the holidays until two burglars try to break in.
4. "Elf"
Elf has become a Christmas favorite by everyone. Will Ferrell does a killer job in this movie. He was a man raised as an elf in the North Pole. When he finds out he is a human so Santa sends to New York to find his father. Elf is hilarious and a must watch. My favorite scene is Elf is when Buddy is drunk in the mail room and is dancing on the tables. It will always make me laugh.
5. "Muppets Family Christmas"
Muppets Family Christmas may not be a popular Christmas movie, but it is a family tradition in my household. This movie included all the Muppet franchises, The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock and Muppet Babies. All the Muppets go to Fozzie Bear’s mother’s house to celebrate Christmas. This movie is filled with funny scenes but my favorite would have to be when they are singing Christmas carols.
Making a list of five Christmas movies is hard to do because there are so many good ones out there. I hope these movies will help you get into the holiday spirit!
