My Favorite Episodes Of 'The Office'

" The Office" is a show that can brighten any day. I became obsessed with the show a couple of years ago and watched the series three times. I go to school in Scranton, and my Instagram captions are often quotes from "The Office." The show has gotten me through sadness because it is so funny that it took my mind off of what I was upset about. Therefore, if you are having a rough day and need some cheering up, here are five of my favorite episodes.

1. Stress Relief, Part One

My favorite episode is Stress Relief, Part One. It opens up with Dwight starting a fire because he was upset that no one was paying attention during his safety presentation. The office goes into complete chaos to the point that Michael throws a projector through the window while calling for help. Stanley has a heart attack and is rushed to the hospital. The beginning isn’t the only hilarious part. Dwight goes to the corporate office and tries to defend his actions. This episode is definitely one everyone should watch at least once in their life.

2. Stress Relief, Part Two

Part 1 was so good that of course Part 2 is also high on the list. Michael gets upset because he finds out that he might be the reason the office is so stressed. He sets up a roast on himself in which the workers make fun of him. Michael starts to get offended and handles it in an immature way. Dwight wrote a letter of apology and needs to get it signed. He tricks the office into signing it. Both episodes of Stress Relief are a must watch.

3. Koi Pond

During this episode, Michael falls into a koi pond. The building in which the koi pond was stationed gets it on camera and the whole office watches it. He is so embarrassed, but Jim tells Michael that if he makes fun of himself he will become less embarrassed. Michael starts to make fun of himself but then rambles on about the other troubles of his life. This episode is relatable because we all get embarrassed but it puts it in a comedic fashion.

4. Dwight K. Schrute, (Acting) Manager

Some people say that the episodes without Michael are not as funny as the episodes with him, but this episode proves this wrong. Dwight becomes interim manager because the previous manager went into a coma. He implements ridiculous rules and management styles. The office does not know what is to be of Dwight’s management. He even (accidentally) shoots a gun in the office.

5. The Duel

Andy finally finds out that Angela is having an affair with Dwight and challenges a duel with Dwight. They plan to meet in the parking lot, and Dwight even prepares weapons for the duel. It is very immature but hilarious. Meanwhile, Michael gets called in for an appointment in the corporate office for doing a great job with his branch. His meeting with David is comical because he does not know what to say

In conclusion, all of the episodes of this amazing series are great, but these are my top five. If you have not gotten into “The Office” yet, I would recommend you do because the show is hilarious and you do not have to watch the episodes in a specific order to understand the plot. If you have already seen all the episodes, keep watching them to brighten your days!

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

Here are five things everyone should learn in order to be a better friend to themselves. These steps are hard, but they're so worth it.

We all have a love hate relationship with winter, lets be real here. The snow makes people forget how to drive, its cold, the roads are bad, and chances are, you will be spending a lot more money than you do during the other months of the year. If you’re from the Midwest, it seems to be that winter lasts for what feels like forever. But despite the struggles that winter brings, there are so many things to love about it.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.
