We are all aware that it's coming. Finals. The crazy, stress-filled week that will end this semester. We may not completely know what to expect, but all we know is that it is going to be rough. There have been many moments in the sitcom, "The Office," that explain finals week in a nutshell.
1. The amount of sleep during finals week is an absolute joke.
Oh hey, wanna know something? You are going to be up all night, running off of a hopeful three hours of sleep. And you will also be told by every professor to get plenty of sleep and a big breakfast, like it is even possible. *insert eye roll*
2. Focusing is more difficult than it seems.
Most of the week is spent procrastinating and annoying your friends, even when it's clear you should be studying.
3. When the exam is full of questions that were never even discussed in class or on the study guide.
We have all had those teachers/professors. They tell you they are helping you out by giving you the study guide, and then they don't use questions like anything that was on it. This is especially great when you have been studying the study guide all night.
4. Feeling like the whole world is against you, and your life is falling apart.
The light inside us may be broken, but deep down we still kind of work.
5. When the studying gets the best of you, and you break down.
Every frustration level is at its highest.
6. When your friends ask you to hang out knowing that it is finals week and you have to study.
The hardest "no" ever given.
7. When finals week is finally over, and it is time for Christmas or Summer break.
You did it! You survived! Trust me, getting to this point feels so good. Just remember that all your hard work will pay off. You got this. Now go handle the week like the boss you are! You are the world's best boss.
