It has been nearly 365 days since the last Christmas. Now, only a few more stand between you and presents, cookies, and time spent with loved ones. Your anticipation and excitement have only grown throughout the month of December (and November, too, if we're being honest.) It's finally acceptable to listen to Christmas music, and you've been watching Christmas movies every night since the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas is upon us, and here are some truly Dunder Mifflin moments to get you even more hyped than you already are.
We can't deny our true feelings about Christmas:
And, frankly, we don't want to.
Of course, it doesn't really start to feel like Christmas until you and your family pick out that perfect tree:
Start stringing popcorn.
And cue the embarrassing/wonderful Christmas card photo shoot that your mom puts together:
Matching sweaters and Santa hats, too. Obviously.
Speaking of Mom, you now give her this look every time you're out shopping and you see something you want:
This is a face that says "Add that to the list."
You order all of your presents online with next-day shipping, and it's been two days and they still aren't here:
Maybe if I stare out the front window and wait for the delivery truck they'll get here sooner.
So you turn on some Christmas jams to get all of your feelings out:
Have a "metal" Christmas.
Finally, all of your orders arrive and you unleash your mad wrapping skills:
On the presents and everything else in the general vicinity.
...and you're psyched to give all of your friends their presents, because:
Except you're broke so you spent like $5 on everyone.
So you organize fun Christmas-y activities like:
It's like Secret Santa but not as fun.
As Christmas gets closer, the weather gets colder, bringing with it the magical first snow and the opportunity to pelt close pals with balls of frozen water:
Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.
And carolers go door-to-door singing everyone's favorite Christmas songs:
Ah. Yuletide angst.
You dance your little heart out at every Christmas party you're invited to:
Turn up for tinsel.
Of course, we can't forget the original meaning of Christmas:
...can you guess who it is?
That's right:
HB, J.C.
Equally as important is the fact that Christmas is a great time to throw shade:
Holiday shade.
And eventually, after many weeks of anticipation, Christmas Eve finally arrives, and you're just laying in bed like:
Santa will be here any second.
After a sleepless night, you and your siblings excitedly run down the stairs:
Santa came!
And you spend the next several days enjoying your presents and feeling like this:
You're also on a crazy sugar high from all of the candy canes and hot chocolate.
...but then it's suddenly New Year's day and you realize you've got a whole year until the next Christmas:
See you next year, joy.
