If you didn't already know (and thus have been living under several rocks), the live action remake of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is being released in theaters to the public on Friday, and the world's favorite real life princess Emma Watson is playing Belle, the most beautiful girl in her "provincial town" who happens to fall in love with a buffalo-bear-man type thing... nice!
Though there is a lot of buzz going on about the movie and the stars of it, I want to shed some light on yet another reason as to why Emma Watson is one of the greatest celebrities around today. In addition to the many contributions our dear grown up Hermione has given to the fields of female empowerment and human rights, she is of recent using her press tour for Beauty and the Beast to promote ethically produced garments. A new Instagram account created for this purpose of sharing, the appropriately named @the_press_tour, shows multiple angles of all of the absolutely gorgeous pieces Emma styles, all with a detailed description of where each piece is from and a brief account of how each was made in a sustainable fashion.
Each new venture Emma embarks on is met with grace and charm, and is clear that this Brown educated actress serves as a great role model. I am excited to see what she will embark on next, and I am sure it will be equally as wonderful.
