Apple unveiled the aspects of their newest addition to the iPhone family to the public earlier this week, and there are some big changes. Technology fans excitedly watched Apple’s livestream to see what adjustments have been made to the new model. Apple and their retail partners have already began offering preorders, and in fact they’ve all already sold out of the iPhone 7. The orders are so backed up that anyone wanting to buy the phone will have to wait until at least November to even order their new phone.
This new device comes with a whole new string of technological advancements compared to Apple’s older models. Some major changes to the phone include longer battery life, a better camera design, waterproof design, a new color, and the exclusion of a headphone jack. The last factor is one that worries many Apple and iPhone regulars. Apple has also revealed a new design to their “Earpods”. The new model will be bluetooth, so there is no cord attached to the earbuds themselves. They also have a design very similar to the old model, but they are now plugged into the Lightning Port as opposed to plugging them into the usual headphone jack.
The iPhone 7 also will debut in new colors. In addition to the usual silver, gold and rose gold, the latest iPhone will also come in a new matte black and jet black option. The iPhone 6 s debuted the rose gold option will again be offered with this model.
With the launch of the new iPhone comes the new iOS 10, and all it’s features as well. Messages now allows users to send texts with animations and new stickers to really get the point across. Siri, Apple Music, and Maps also has some cool new designs to allow for easier use. Users can also search for pictures by location or even by the people in the pictures by categorizing them.
With all the new technology and changes made to Apple’s products this year, who knows what the iPhone 8 will have in store.
