As if the trailers and soundtrack, which just released on Friday, wasn't enough to fuel your excitement for MOANA, on Saturday, the Disney YouTube channel posted a 9-minute video which contains not only all of the trailers we've been rewatching over and over, but also some new clips from the film!
Seeing these new clips gave us more of an idea of Moana's journey to not only find Maui, but the struggle to get him on board to help her with her mission. There's also another clip of Moana talking with her grandmother, who's also known as "the village crazy."
I honestly think this will be a fantastic movie. It's great to have another female heroin in the Disney franchise. Also, she's Polynesian, and the voice of Moana, Auli'i Cravalho, is an unknown from Hawaii, which adds to the authenticity of the character. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who voice Maui, is of Samoan background.
