A small town girl with big dreams, large ambitions, and unsurmountable talent takes her career to the next level. We have heard this statement about many female artists, but this statement is especially true for singer-songwriter Savannah Conley.

Savannah Conley made her start in music from the time she started talking and walking. Of course, she sang along to her favorite songs with her parents recording her in glee. This love for singing developed as she grew up. By the age of 7, Savannah Conley began recording songs. How many 7 year olds do you know that record music professionally?

Savannah was inspired by both her mom and dad as an aspiring artist. Her mom was a backup singer and her dad was a guitar player. They were both really talented in their areas of focus, which is what helped push Savannah along in her career.

At the age of 11, Savannah wrote her first song. She claims this song to be the first song she wrote seriously, and was the starting mark in her life as a creator of her own works. Flash forward to the age of 15, Savannah recorded her first full-length album, and released it when she was 16 (Click the link here to listen to the record).

You can hear the full range of Savannah's talent in her first album, but this was certainly only the beginning of the professional side of her career. RCA studios had Savannah at one of their studios to do a live recording of her song "Sky of Blue," she went on tour to showcase her album, and graduated high school in 2014 achieving high academic success.

Her list of achievements grew quickly. She continued her career by taking time aside to focus on her songwriting. She prioritized her upcoming album and new hit single, which is titled "Lost Lover," during her time after high school. "Lost Lover" (a song about the cycle of taking and giving in a relationship that is not exactly working out, but is so hard to let go of) has become a hit, receiving thousands of views across multiple platforms, since my interview with Savannah.

Savannah's goal is to release her newest full-length album in the spring of 2017. Without a doubt, Savannah Conley will continue to see success in her career as she keeps pushing the boundaries of what we know a song to be. Be sure to check keep up with Savannah on her Facebook page, Soundcloud, Spotify, iTunes, and every other form of social media as she continues her journey to success.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
