Sometimes when you gain a close friend, you get a second family. In my case, I found this especially true with the mothers of my best friends. As years go by those mothers become second moms to me. They took me in sometimes, fed me, let me tag along on family vacations, drove me around, and gave valuable advice. So I composed a little list of somethings I would like to thank the moms of my best friends for.
Thank you for letting us poorly (and loudly) sing with the songs on the road while you drove.
I can't count the numerous rides from the moms where we were probably annoying them to death. They would dump off the packed loud car, only to return a few hours later to pick us up. I'm sure they are happy those days are over.
Thank you for letting us raid your fridge
Whether it was after school or just hanging out, thank you for letting us chow down at your junk food.
Actually, thank you for for letting us basically live at your house
Anyone whose ever has a close friend knows there are moments were their house becomes your second home. The endless summer sleep overs at my friends house are some of my favorite memories.
Speaking of sleep overs, thank you for letting us have those
Those loud sleep overs in middle school I'm sure were not any moms favorite. I'm sure that my best friends moms have heard loud conversations about pre-teen crushes and stupid gossip. Thank you for letting have those cheesy moments.
Lastly, Thank you for giving me some of the best friends in the world
So if I hadn't said it enough, Thank you.
