Shane Dawson Doesn't Deserve Backlash For New Docuseries

Shane Dawson, a popular YouTuber, has recently released the first 2 parts of his 8-part series, "The Mind of Jake Paul," who just so happens to be one of the most controversial YouTubers of this time.

I can imagine many other Shane fans had the same reaction that I did when we found out who his new series was about. I had seen plenty of Jake Paul, and I wasn't wanting to see any more.

My immediate worry was that with this series, Shane was going down the same path as he had with other YouTubers where he used his platform to reveal their stories.

I was not interested in hearing Jake Paul make up excuses for his behavior and I didn't want these videos trying to make me feel bad for him.

But after viewing the first two parts, I realized that was not the case at all. Shane is completely aware of the potential consequences of his posting of this series, he says so in the first part of his video.

But he still chooses to pursue it anyway, because he's curious.

That's why I respect Shane and his content so much. He takes risks because he wants to really know the truth. He's not going after views, he knows he may even lose subscribers from having Jake in his videos.

He's genuinely curious as to what happened to Jake to make him act the way he does. So, he's doing everything he can to get to the bottom of it.

From being a Shane fan for the past few years, I know he is one of the most real and genuine YouTubers I've ever seen. He doesn't put on a fake personality like it's so easy to do on such a huge entertainment platform.

He is real, and he cares so much about helping others.

That's why I can't comprehend why so many people are getting mad at Shane for this. So many people are threatening to unsubscribe from his channel, or just voicing how upset they are at Shane for even doing this.

Nobody is interested in hearing Shane give Jake Paul a redemption arc.

But Shane isn't going for that. He's trying to get down to the bottom of why Jake is the way that he is and even begins to dive into sociopathic issues. Not even just with Jake himself, but also with YouTubers in general.

Therefore, it seems like it'll be a lot deeper and a lot more interesting than just hours of Jake explaining his reckless behavior. Shane genuinely has me interested with only 2 parts out and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Hopefully, others feel the same and stop giving Shane so much hate for this series.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
