Although the summer has passed us by and it’s slowly getting colder outside, for a college student, the pressure of schoolwork is quickly heating up. It's easy to feel a bit helpless as every completed assignment or requirement is replaced by a new one, and countless hours at the library don't feel like they're enough. Halfway into the semester, it gets serious; and tests, grades, and assignments can be just as irritating as Dwight on a mission. Meredith may have been hit by Michael's car, but this semester is definitely hitting you, too. If you’re experiencing the mid-semester blues, these symptoms are bound to apply to you.
1. Friday is the highlight of your week.
2. You make the most out of Saturday because you know you'll have to spend Sunday in the library.
3. You've given up on your diet.
4. You find yourself having to pull all-nighters way more often than you've hoped for.
5. You've become dependent on coffee.
5. You have multiple assignments to do and you just don't know where to start.
6. You don't believe those few friends who say they have no work to do.
7. You tell your family and peers that everything is going great.
8. You don't understand how some people can be so perky in class.
9. After taking breaks to go to the dining hall or watch a little Netflix, you're brought back to the reality of your responsibilities.
10. You put a lot of effort into staying awake in class.
11. You make a run for it when class finally lets out.
12. You have several methods of stress relief.
13. You accidentally forget about tests or due dates and show up to class to an awful surprise.
13. You try to keep it all together, but sometimes it just doesn't go your way.
Trying to keep afloat when you are drowning in work can be a struggle, but good thing it'll be over soon enough. College is seriously a full-time job, and it takes so much work and dedication simply to get by. Just as every character on The Office manages to juggle their busy paper-selling lives with the chaos of Michael Scott's management, college certainly does teach us how to balance it all.
