Beards, the most common staple on the male population to separate the men from the boys. The ability to grow and maintain a beard shows high levels of masculinity. Men with beards are not in a shortage at the University of Maine. Guys, we notice your hard work and love the facial hair. Its sexy and attractive but hey don't just grow the mustache we want the whole thing.

The question is though, does a beard show the guys commitment to growing his facial hair or his ultimate laziness.

One idea is that facial hair, specifically the beard represents commitment. Stuble might be the hints of laziness, the idea that hey I could grow a beard but I'm not sure. It's that in-between period where he's trying to figure it out. But, when he stops playing games and finally commits it's really sexy.

This idea of the stages of a beard, stubble to medium length facial hair to a full-on beard mirrors the stages of a relationship. Ladies, the stages of beard development gives us an insight into the minds of guys all around us.

STUBBLE STAGE:

The stubble stage is when he is just looking for a hookup or fling. He isn't at a point in his life where he is ready to commit to something. Its like theres a possibility and the idea of development is there but he just can't commit. Stubble also shows hes lazy and just doesn't want to pick up his razor.

MEDIUM LENGTH FACIAL HAIR:

Medium length facial hair is when the fling turns into a constant hook up. He's exploring the idea that you could both be something more. It's like when he looks in the mirror and wonders if he would look good with a full beard. He's pondering if he would look good with you.

THE FULL BEARD:

The full-on beard means he has no fear of commitment. He is able to take the time to groom himself and make sure his beard looks fire. This is translated into a time where he can be in a relationship and has no fear of commitment.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
