Summer is over and fall is here. In the blink of an eye, it's October 3rd and the best time of year is approaching: Halloween. It's such an exciting with a lot that gives us something worth celebrating! It's a night (weekend) full of costumes and events! Your costume for Halloween is absolutely crucial and if it's not perfect. Picking out the perfect costume for Halloween can be a struggle, and if you're anything like Cady Heron, you tend to get in sticky situations with these kinds of things; it can be, like, social suicide. According to "Mean Girls", here is a guide to the 10 various types of costumes bound to be seen on Halloween.

1. The scary overachiever

Maybe a zombie bride if you're feeling really crafty and gory, unfortunately, nobody told Cady about the slut rule.

2. The provocative animal costumes

These are go-to for most girls! Though cheesy, they're simple (and hot). And it's the one day a year nobody could say anything about it.

3. The squad goals

There's nothing more fun than dressing up with someone. Fun tip: Pinterest has the best DIY costume ideas if you're on a budget.

4. The jock

Boys can just throw on their jerseys and call it a day, or if you're a female, a big jersey and high-top converse is the (basic) alternative.

5. The ones who were too lazy to dress up

These kinds of people always piss us off. Everyone comes for the booze, so at least get into character.

6. Wearing your sports uniform as your costume

Sometimes we lose track of time and have to throw something together in a snap.

7. The last minute and indistinguishable costume

Such a Karen move, but it's so true. Typically these may fall under the animal category, but again, it's simple.

8. Dressing in fancy attire and calling it your costume

Don't lie, we have all considered doing this at least once or twice just out of pure laziness.

9. Prom Queen Regina George

Only Regina George could pull off a whole head and spine piece and continue to look fabulous... she is prom queen goals.

10. Be like Janice and Damian

A night in with a good horror movie and bag of candy is always a good idea too.

Halloween is going to be so fetch! Dressing up is half the fun, and it's a day to strut your stuff! If you are having trouble while picking out your costume, just remember that "in the regular world, Halloween is when children dress up in costumes and beg for candy. In girl world, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girl can say anything about it."

When it comes to Bloomington-Normal, there are many outstanding factors that any Illinois State student can say are unique to our college town (and maybe others too). Proud or not, we Redbirds know all the ins and outs of Blono.

1. The wait for Buffalo Wild Wings is always going to be long on Thursday nights.

As hard as we try, it's nearly impossible to resist the 69-cent wings on a college student budget. Plus, they are always delicious!
