In the beginning, we both had our demons. You dealt with your addiction, I dealt with the pain of my past. It was a long year for both of us, battling what was eating at our hearts and trying to find the calm within. We found it together. We helped each other to be strong. I helped you push through your demon and you mended the whole in my heart. I was always told I'd find someone who could mend my heart, and when you came along you did just that. Here we are, four years later, with the strongest relationship I've ever had with someone.

You bring me up when I'm down. You've helped me deal with my bouts of depression by being my shoulder to cry on, always telling me that it shall pass. I've been there for you when you have your bouts of depression, always holding you and helping you see the light, just as you do for me. You hold my hand through all the hardships that life comes with. You always put a smile on my face when I feel as if I can't smile anymore.

I remember when I kept hoping to find someone, wishing that it would happen fast. But then I met you, and everything fell into place. It feels as if my life is complete. With my patience came the best relationship that I've ever had. Not only are you my partner but also my best friend.

We have so much in common it's uncanny. We are both gamers, we love going to concerts, and most of all we love to be with each other. Sure, we get in our little arguments but soon after we always laugh about it. Our arguments never last longer than a day and they always end with a smile, knowing that it was silly to get into the argument in the first place. No matter what we resolve the problem and move forward. Communication is key, and we always make it through those bumps in the road.

You've helped me reach the light that I never thought was possible to achieve. You've been there for me when I've needed to go to the ER at three in the morning because a migraine is just too much. You've helped me get through the sadness that comes with my illness, and I can't thank you enough for all of it. And as you have been here for me I will always be there for you.

I fall in love with you every day. I will stand by your side through everything as you've done for me. This is for you, my perfect man; you've made everything in my life better and it continues to blossom into a beautiful partnership that won't end.

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
