The Man Who Changed My Life

All my life he has always been there.

No matter what I have done,

Despite all my mistakes, he has remained by my side.

He taught me the value of failure,

Ingrained in me the desire to never back down,

Saved me from my own darkness.


Nobody else believed in me more

And nobody else did more to aid my development

Many times he sacrificed so that I didn't go without

Even if it meant his own pain and suffering


I can never repay him for everything he's given me

Say, "Thank you," for his guidance throughout it all.


Journeying together through worldly trials

Over mountains, through forests, and oceans.

Here amongst nature's insurmountable forces he gave me an invaluable gift

"Never give in, never give up"


Centuries will pass

Eras will come to an end

Nations will rise and fall

And I will pass into memory, but he will remain- a silent guardian to all

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
