The Madness Of Stranger Minds

Our feeble ability to question what we see stems from the notion that we are thrust into the world, accepting it as it is as soon as we enter it.

The mad mind of today is being collectively downgraded rather than admired. Instead of being applauded for being different and wise, the mad mind is caged into the walls of hospitals and grazed drugs that eliminate the mind’s ability to question logic and reason. Mental illness has subsequently been thrown into the world of blind acceptance.

Blind acceptance is a pattern that has been growing along the path of humankind, which ensues from the fact that we are accepting the world as it is and as we see it. And what of the soul? Does it not sense nor feel? Does it not require thoughts to grow? One must infiltrate the knowledge ultimately gained by the most virtuous of acts in the human world and pass it on to the soul. That is the when we will start to feel our souls come to life.

Our feeble ability to question what we see stems from the notion that we are thrust into the world, accepting it as it is as soon as we enter it. One must thoroughly contemplate his self. Question yourself and you will stumble upon wells of awry ambiguities, that you will soon come to understand once you feed it to your soul.

Embrace your mad mind. Don’t let the way you were thrown into the world or the way you’re taught about mental illness change the fact that a mad mind is unique. We have much to learn about ourselves, therefore one must constantly indulge in connecting the mind and the soul in order to better understand oneself and attempt to figure out the reasons behind existing in a single form held exclusively and individually.

Throw yourself into the darkest of seas and find your way to the shores. Consequently, you will encounter beliefs held within your soul, and only through introspection will you guide yourself through the plights to a new perspective on life.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
