Ah, summer music festivals! What a great time!
Two years ago, I attended Lollapalooza in Chicago and it was honestly quite the experience that I want to do again. Since I transferred to a four-year institution, money has been a big reason in which I haven't been able to attend as all my money has been going towards my living expenses.
So let the major FOMO begin as I won't be able to attend this year.
Thankfully, the festival has been doing livestreams of the performances so people can watch the festival in the comfort of their own home to make it feel as if you were actually there seeing it happen.
On March 20th at 6:00 AM PT, the 2019 Lollapalooza lineup came out and if I am being honest the previous lineups from 2017 and 2018 were filled with so many more amazing artists.
But please, let us discuss this year's lineup because Lollapalooza never tends to disappoint us music junkies:

So as we can see, there is a variety of genres being represented in this lineup. That is the beauty of Lollapalooza and similar festivals like that have a little bit of everything to attract all different types of music aficionados. The lineup this year ranges from rock to country, to pop, to alternative, to rap, to Latin, to EDM and then everything in between. It also ranges from extremely popular artists that get a ton of airplay on the radio and who are headlining to artists many of us may have never heard of yet they're lucky enough to be playing a legendary festival such as Lollapalooza.
If I were going this year but it is highly not going to happen this festival season year, I'd prepare every little detail on what I would wear, my makeup, my plans once I get to the festival, and which artists I would have to run a mile from one side of the park to the other.
The artists included in this lineup have been artists who have made memorable musical comebacks such as Ariana Grande, Twenty One Pilots, Bring Me the Horizon and Lil Wayne that we have not seen perform many festivals in a hot second.
Although this lineup does not compare as highly as both 2017 and 2018's lineups as it could have had more relevant artists who are coming out with new music, I am excited to see how it all plays out in the first few days of August! I might not be a professional music journalist who can have a is still an amazing lineup and I would do whatever to be able to go again and see all these great artists under the Chicago skyline this summer.
