Are you tired of your hair being as dry as hay during the winter? If the answer is yes, I have a pro-tip for you.
After shampooing or co-washing your hair apply the L.O.C method to your hair. What's the LOC method, you ask? Well L.O.C is an acronym for leave in conditioner, oil, and (styling) cream. The L.O.C method is a great technique for moisturizing your natural hair.
1. Hydrate
Fill your hair with a water-based product such as any of your favorite leave in conditioners (mine is Shea Moisture's Strengthen Grow and Restore Leave in Conditioner).
2. Keep your moisture
Sealing the moisture with any oil of your choice (my favorite is coconut oil).
3. Style
Lastly, apply any styling cream to close the hair cuticle that will help prevent any moisture loss (I love using the Cantu Shea Butter for natural hair Coconut styling cream). After applying these products to your hair you can style it to your liking.
Wishing you healthy, moisturized, and popping curls until next time.
