Just Good Vibe

Ah, the life of a writer. It's not an easy one, people. Deadlines, endless amounts of reading and research, editing and re-editing, multiple drafts, and countless revisions all go into creating a good piece of writing. However, when the final project is completed, there is a sense of pride inside the writer that cannot be diminished nor understated. Aspiring writers such as myself dream of the day when a project of theirs will be published, widely accepted, and loved and read for many years to come. But until that day comes, check out these moments that every writer has experienced while working on a project.

1. When you know the idea you have is fail-proof and writing it will be a breeze.

2. When you finish writing the first page of a new project and decide you've done an adequate amount of work for the day.

3. When you come up with the perfect names for your characters.

4. When you choose to write about someone in real life even though you know they'll call you out on it.

5. When you read another writer's work and become discouraged.

6. When you write an intense chapter and wonder if you've gone too far.

7. When you decide to turn in early after a long day of writing.

8. When someone asks how your project is coming along.

9. When inspiration strikes.

10. When your friends ask if you ever get lonely just writing all the time.

11. When you realize you have a deadline and you're not even halfway through.

12. When someone tries to tell you what to write about.

13. When you try to come up with a brilliant title.

14. When you come up with the best plot twist of all time.

15. When you get writer's block right in the middle of a paragraph.

16. When you just don't know what to do with a character so you decide to kill them off.

17. When you finish writing the last chapter.

18. When you completely finish your project and submit it for publishing.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter
morethanwheels

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
